In the reading "Nature, Sound Art and the Sacred", the Author David Dunn, speaks out about the parallels and perpendiculars of humanity and nature that exist in our universe, giving  insight on how to coexist and understand the beginnings and futures of the musical world.

Even though there are vast distinctions between the industrial and environmental worlds, they somehow intertwine in ways that music is able to express now, and has been expressing for thousands of years.

Technology has changed the way the current generations think about music but, the author takes a step back and studies the origin of sounds and music in tribute to the natural world.

Music would not exist without the beginning of the sounds of raw life itself, which makes me think that communication between species would not be understood or utilized in the way that it is now.

In the experiment Mimus Polyglottos, the author studied mockingbirds, and finds the mutual curiosity between himself with the bird vice versa.

This experiment comments on the coexisting worlds that make up our reality and allow each species to accept the opposite reality of the clashing worlds. Nature is the beginning to everything that we know now about the artistic and musical world, and as humans we have evolved and built upon the tools that nature provided us with, to create our own interpretations of visuals and sounds.

If it wasn’t for the natural world, music would not exist.
